Rear shocks - time to replace ?

93 CSE, 175k miles, I've had it for 8 months and 4,000 miles. Rear suspension seems a little soft, thinking of replacing just the rear shocks, on the theory that they wear out faster due to the strain of heavy acceleration with a 200 hp turbo. Have others found this to be true? So has anybody replaced just the rears and what did you find? I see KYB and Boge are available, current ones are Sachs. I want handling improvements over stock, not just the stock ride, so thinking Boge would be the way to go ... what have others done? Bilsteins are nice but not sure what the cost is, the Boges are $90 at saabsite.com.
The reasons I suspect the rear suspension has gone soft:
a) when engaging the parking brake while rolling slightly backwards, the car rocks around for 2-3 seconds, some side to side motion
b) heavy acceleration causes my rear-view mirror view to move violently up and down
c) seems to fail the bounce test - push down hard on the bumper, rocks up and doesn't stop immediately, more of that wiggle side to side kind of thing
