Usually 'misfire' refers to when a cylinder doesn't fire during the ignition cycle. The result will be an engine that has a 'lumpy' or uneven idle, or at speed, feels like it's stuttering.
I don't know that there's an accepted term for what you're describing, other than 'the engine quits right after starting'. Under what conditions - hot engine, cold engine? How long does it run? One or two seconds? 10 seconds? Does it just shut off, or does it stutter and stumble, then die?
