Thanks, Ari and Street. The problem has actually been resolved but I didn't know the technical term for it, until now.
Ari, FYI, the problem was actually one of when the engine was starting from cold in the morning, it started right away but quitted within 1 or 2 seconds. I then turned the ignition key for a second attempt. The same happened. It was not until the 3rd or 4th attempt did the engine keep going after starting. The engine would then start normally for the day, only to encounter the same problem again the next day morning.
The indy, who was a former manager with the dealer and was equipped with the ISAT device, said the fault code for the AIC valve, not the DI cassette, was raised, and the valve was therefore replaced. The spark plugs were also replaced.
But the problem was still there and persisted for the next 3 or 4 months, until one day the starter turned but there was no ignition at all. The 9000 CS 2.0 LPT had to be towed to the dealer, and they said the DI cassette was at fault. It was replaced and the problem was resolved.
Whether it was a failing DI cassette that caused the initial starting problem before it finally quitted, or the problem (multiple start/stall) that eventually killed the otherwise good DI cassette (but then what caused the problem, if not the DI?), I don't know.
