Yeah I wouldn't mess with it myself... best for an alignment rack.
I find even if you find someone with shims,
who says they can do it, they can't.
Been to about 5 shops in the Seattle area that failed.
I always go back to Rick's Tire in Seattle.
It's the shop ScanWest uses.
I asked last time and they said it was be because the A-arms needs to be fully compressed,
then the alignment set, and the a-arms released.
The other shops aren't compressing fully.
Also make sure the steering rack bolts are especially tight.
Otherwise a guy may spend hours trying to hit the toe-in,
all the while complaining it won't hold or is shifting.
Make sure the lower a-arm bolts are tight as well.
They only mess with the upper ones,
if the lowers are loose the activity will just make it worse.
I would tell them specifically this:
Euro Spec:
Camber - 0.7 degrees
Caster + 2.5 degrees
Toe-in 0
The caster it the tough one to hit.
And +2.5 seems to be the limit of the stock bolts.
So pretty much the a-arms needs to be compressed and the shims maxed.
The US spec was closer to +1.5 caster with -.03 camber.
Getting it balanced on both sides is the trick...
I'd start calling NoCal SAAB shops...
