Yesterday on my drive home ('78 99t) my clutch pedal started getting really weird- felt like there was gravel jamming up the pedal somehow. It stuck a few times, and a few other times I just could push the pedal in at all. Anyway, I got home and pulled the panel off to see if there wasnt something jamming the linkage. Nothing there- I am pretty certain it is just the master cylinder. The pivot pin was free moving, and the master cylinder boot was intact. Went to drive it today: Pushed the clutch in, but it didnt come back out! Is this a common way that they die? I have a new one on the way, but I am going to swap in an old spare tonight. Any tips on the swap? It looks like pulling it out will be fun- not much clearance in there. Thanks!
