I will add my thanks to all the 99 owners who came out! Kudos to our friends from the north, James and Matthew down from Toronto with two spectacular "new" 99s that we've not seen before, also a nice local original-owner car from the Aurora, OH area (apologies that I've forgotten the name), long distance runners Dave Snider from Colorado and Mark Kilhefer from Wisconsin, and of course some "regulars" like Doug Majka, Mike Adams, Rich Kushner and myself. And not to forget Jack Baxter's wonderful 99 ITB race car coming out of retirement as well. All told we had 12 99s on site, a definite improvement over the last couple of years.
And the track day was an absolute blast! We learned the hard way that the 9-2X needs a baffled oil pan for that kind of running, but the 99 Turbo never missed a beat. And a shout-out to Don Wollum who, despite an incredibly busy summer, drove his 5-speed Marble White 99GL up from North Carolina to get on the track as well. My apologies in advance to anyone I've left out. Particularly the 99 Drivers' reception on Saturday afternoon was a great succes and a spectacular display.
