Hi Everyone, I posted on my ebay listing and also sent a message to the Saab 99 Turbo members about why I'm selling this gem, so if you want to see that check out the link below.
I will also add here that I live and breathe the Saab brand - and especially the 99 Turbo - more than ever. My grandfather had a black 1956 T-Bird that he bought in 1958 and had until he died (it's still in our family). He taught me that if you're going to have a special car like that, you need to take care of it, and you need to drive it and "not keep it locked up collecting dust."
I've been pushing the envelope for some time with my finances between running the website and keeping 3 cars and I realized it wasn't leaving any resources for doing what I really want these cars for: piling in and taking off on an adventure.
A recent email with Gary Stottler reinforced this whole idea. So it's a huge, painful sacrifice but I feel I'm doing the right thing and I'll be able to give my kids more of the essential experiences these vehicles deliver.
I can say i'm excited to be finally restoring my SPG.
And, I'm sure it won't be long before there's another 99 Turbo in the garage.
