That is very good info. I did not realize that the wastegate is the issue rather than the turbo itself. Sounds like you have a way to handle that - my understanding would be that you need 3 things to rebuild the wastegate:
1) machine the seat (sounds like you have that covered)
2) replace the valve itself, or can that be reused?
3) replace the guide - is that available?
4) best for last, replacement diaphragm, I would bet that is the hard part to come by.
So that begs 2 questions:
1) Did I miss anything?
2) You said this work is additional to the $350 turbo rebuild, can you estimate a price for the wastegate job (is it BYO diaphragm?)
