"SAAB" was always on the LEFT side of the car (regardless of which side the driver sat on) for the 99, 900 & lots of 9000s (I'm not sure about the CSs...). Any extra info, like model, motor, etc. usually went on the RIGHT side.
SAAB >>> 99 fuel injection
SAAB >>> 99 automatic
SAAB >>> 99 GLi
SAAB >>> turbo (or TURB*)
SAAB >>> 900S
etc.
In the 9-? years, the Saab or Saab/Scania roundel (now much larger) at the center of the trunk served for the "SAAB", and model was put on the left, and motor or "Aero" on the right...
