This is a picture of a can box. As I understand it from Jack, when he builds a street can he starts with a larger diameter cam. Jack has my head at his shop and he pulled a street can from his shelf. He called me asking if I had a larger cam box or could get my hands on one. He was uncertain if he had one laying around. I asked him many questions and candidly, age gets the best of us and he is well into his 80s. I came away with the understanding that the larger cams and cam box utilized an approx 29mm cam bearing and where distinguishable by the absence of alignment pins where the box and head mate. I had never heard this before. The only reference to a larger cam I can find is the carburated european 2.0 l B motors and I am not certain that I am reading that correctly. Any insight from anyone? Thank you.
