Glad it helped! Had I known I would have been glad to give you those brackets, but sounds like you have a good solution. In truth, the newer fans probably both flow more air and are quieter!
Cooling is definitely an issue - I am using a radiator that I had re-cored with an extra row of tubes. One of the 99 Turbo owners who usually comes to Carlisle is also a DeLorean owner, and he has DeLorean fans on his 99T - they are thinner and cover a larger percentage of the radiator surface than the originals. I am thinking of trying that sometime.
