Much better, still lousy on part throttle, but I have a power band now and under boost it seems much better so I suspect wot throttle and boost enrichment are good.
My WUR was really nasty inside, not salvageable. I grabbed one off a VW that seemed to be in good condition and provided good pressures (20cold, 41hot). rockauto is out of stock on the cheap ones but I'll grab a set from someplace, the pulsing I was seeing went away with good fuel pressure but the spray pattern at low volumes is still poor.
Lambda system is buzzing the valve fine, I'll try to dig up a dwell meter.
What terminals on the service connector do I use?
Vaccuum advance looks like it's moving freely.
I hear fuel returning to the tank and the pressure seems steady but is there a specific diagnostic for return line flow.
No plans to run crazy boost, or even double digits. My main intended use for the car is commuting a windy mountain road so I'm looking for as fast a boost curve as I can get since it's hard to keep revs up in the hundreds of tight turns.
I have a methanol/water kit that's going to get installed as soon as I get the car running right.
I got the exhaust leak fixed and working on the speedometer now.
I got a cable from a '74 which is too long and has the wrong fitting but it looks like a cable tie or two will make it work until I find one.
thanks for all the help, I'm looking forward to actually enjoying the car.
