Well, the easiest way would be to just take it down to your local custom muffler shop and tell them to make it 2.5"-3" from the cat back- if you are smog exempt, make it from the downpipe back. Nice free flowing muffler and you are all set. Shouldnt be more than a couple hundred bucks. There are a few ANSA performance exhausts floating around, but they are generally rust prone garbage. They are factory diameter, and not very free flowing. The tips sure look nice though... I have a set on my car. They really are crap.
As for other power, get a coil booster or other electronic ignition like MSD or Jacobs. You can squeeze a 900 intercooler in there- this will allow you to run *slightly* higher boost. Unfortunately it will add some lag. Find the mandrel bent intercooler pipes from a late 900- Not sure what years they came on, but they are much bigger diameter, and flow much better. Noticeable throttle responce improvement. Which K-jet really needs. Those are the really easy power improvements. Not worth much really, but they do improve driveability.
Do some of that stuff, then get going on a swaybar and some stiffer springs. These cars drive great, and a sportier suspension makes driving much more fun.
