Need Help Identifying a Noise

I just got my 99 back on the road after 6 months on jack stands. It's running fairly well, but when I add power (to accelerate or go up a hill), I hear a sort of metallic rattle/scraping noise, kind of like a coin sliding around in a coffee can (but with a bit more of a rattle). The noise is only while the power is increasing; once the car is at the higher speed (or higher power for going up hills), the noise goes away. The car's a 1980 non-turbo. Any idea what it might be? I think it might be coming from the lower aft end of the engine bay, but I really can't tell with any certainty.
TIA
