Hi LArry:
Yup, even my wife thinks its cute...The chrome is kinda like the old 96s and 95s...it was the first (or second) year they introduced the 99...so it has a lot of carry-over from the older styles.
I got it from a friend who had owned it for about forve years, but before that, it lived out near Boston, MA...
Yup, the triumph motor was out years ago, a b-style engine was in it, then my buddy ripped it out (worst idea eva') and started putting in a 1981 900T engine with a 5spd...but then had to move to AZ...it sat in storage for about two years, and now its mine to play with, but not mine totally (he kept the title)...So I have a 1970 with a 1981T engine sitting in the engine bay not hooked up at all.....drivers not in place, passenger motor mount is misaligned, no radiator, no electrical, no shifter column that fits yet...A huge winter project for sure, but I am way over my head definitely.
But I love it.
if you notice in the picture, my neighbor's 9-3 Aero is sitting in the background...kinda neat-o that there's 37 years of difference in these cars...but of course, that is not all thatis different.
