Well, being a 78 makes it alot easier, but you still have the tank/carb/plumbing issue, or maybe not, as I've never seen a post-73 Euro-spec carbed 99...
Dual sidedraft Weber manifolds are available, but pricey, then you have to buy carbs...
I have both single 175 and dual 150 stromberg set-up, but few miles on the dual, and I don't really care about mileage anyway. Dual Stroms give you about the same HP as FI, but feels "snappier". I had my manifold sent over from a guy in Europe and sourced the carbs here in the US. I suppose you could modify the ports a bit and mount 2 175 Strombergs from a Ovlov.
BTW, the dual 150 carbs have 68% more cross section than the single 175...
