It depends. I've had old ones on "dry" cars last for years. I've had ones that were on cars that sat for two months and when started again, leaked terribly. New they aren't cheap but they are sure to work. There was a point when I kept all that stuff laying around "just in case", but in the end, even considering the financial state I was in at the time, it started to prove more cost effective to just buy a new part when such a thing was available.
Does this mean you are keeping the car or are you still juggling the notion of leaving the 99 fold?
