Thermostat valve for '73 96 Posted by paul [Email] (#792) [Profile/Gallery] (more from paul) on Sat, 5 Apr 2003 09:19:49 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
My thermostat valve that controls the heater output has developed a big leak when the valve is closed, i.e. heat off. I pulled it out and can't see any reasonable way to disassemble it and replace the seal. Does anyone know of a source for a new unit, or a used one that for some strange reson isn't as worn out as mine? Also, the copper wire leading into it broke as it came out and looks disturbingly more complicated than just a copper wire. Is that to a thermostat? Do I need that for everythign to function? Any thoughts on how to repair it?
Thanks
