I have run into this many times pulling an engine out! If you have one
of those 1-ton cable pullers, just hook one end to a tree limb or ceiling
rafter and a short length of chain to the other end. Hook the other end of
the chain to the top exhaust pipe bolt on that side and pull up to relieve
the gravity on the motor mount. Just 3 bolts on the mount give you free access to the starter. Good Luck!
