Saabers

I came to a realization the other day. I love the look of the two digit Saabs as I own a couple, including one with special sound effects(pop..pop.ring ding)a couple of cute 99s as well. For the past year,I have been mainly navigating the pop pop and 99s(Electronic manual specials) I decided it was time to release the three door 900T from its dark dwellings.

Geez! I was actually amazed by that old raw "yes sir" turbo power, handling and the ergonomics. Geez...the black beast went around the turns like it was on freaking rails! Sorry..let me calm down a little, but think about it for a moment you crazy Saabers!
It was not "easy does it" like the pop pop. My vision was not lured by the humps on the hood like the Electronic manual specials. I was not viewiing in to three holes where the guages are planted...plus the quirky dashboard. I was looking over a smooth flat long bonnet, and felt like a jet pilot behind that wheel! The only thing mising was the arsenals.
Is this what I was missing? Nice thick padded door panels unlike "I hope to God I dont get into an accident" 96s. Which of the following would you prefer? To crash into the door, slam into the bus size steering wheel, or whiplash from the "shoulder stop" seats. Dont get me wrong, I like the old girl but safety?
Geez! I forgot what made Saab really special? Was it not the 900 Turbo? The damn thing just feels right. Yes the sloppy 9000 Aero has more ummph, but driving in a big living room doesn't appeal to me.
Let's hear it for the 900 Turbos! That car will see more action nowadays.

I would love to hear some opinions concerning which Saab was best and why?
