Good news. I took the driver's door lock to the locksmith who took it apart and advised me that someone prior had "messed" with it. So, I then took the trunk lock to him, and this morning he called that he had a key made. I tried the key in the ignition and it worked! The new key works now for the trunk, the ignition, the glove compartment, and soon (after re-keying the lock) the driver's door. I have remaining to re-key the passenger's door and a locking gas cap. My locksmith advised me that he never did find a code, but rather created the key from "scratch". Fine job he did. Now I just have to figure out why the car won't run unless it is "jumped" to my truck? New battery last summer, but . . ., as soon as I remove the jumper cables, it dies?
