hello!!! (from melbourne, australia)
i currently own a 1969 mg midget which is about to undergo a complete
restoration. consequently i am looking for a cheap classic that i
could almost use as a daily driver and could keep outdoors (i.e. not
undercover).
i've found this car...
saab 96 v4 - 1967
http://carpoint.ninemsn.com.au/DesktopDefault.aspx?UsedCarID=518599&TabID=3328&Alias=carpointau
...and am doing a little research on
whether it will be suitable.
i posted on the yahoo saab 96 bulletin board and was told that this would be a better place to get information.
can you recommend any relevant web sites that have buyer's guides
and/or what to look out for.
from my initial research i like what i see and hopefully i'll soon be
driving around my own piece of vintage swedish metal.
i guess i have concerns about parts availability here in melbourne, but i'm sure i'll be able to source what i need over the net.
is it safe to assume that v4 engine will be able handle a 3 hour
drive down the coast? (this is something that my midget can't really
do)
thanks,
marcus.
