The only exterior things that are out of place is the front grille piece and the front fenders (with turn signals). Interior door trim is correct for a '68, as is the horn switch thingy (on a lever on the steering stalk). The center of the original steering wheel got padding in '68, which somehow took the horn button out of the picture. Your steering wheel is of older vintage though.
Too bad someone re-painted this baby white! There's something quite irresistable about a toreador red 96!
As for the interior door handles, there is no "correct" way to mount them. Each end has of each handles have 3 different screw holes - they are meant to be adjustable to individual taste!
