Last week I installed a new Weber 32/36 in my 1967 V-4 The engine is bored out to almost 2.0 liters and performed exceptionally well with the stock jetting. I put approximately 500 miles on it last week and this week left for a trip over Santiam Pass. Another 500 mile adventure.About 50 miles into the trip there was a slight miss at 50 to 75 mph. Garth Ankeky had mentioned that the ethanol added to the gas was causing the paper filters to fail. I stopped at NAPA and plunked down 5.00 for new filter and installed it. The engine was immediately back to running smooth as silk. In my mind this bears watching as the old filter had less than 1000 miles on it. I should ad that I burn only shell or Chevron Premium and use a fuel system cleaner about every 4k miles so there is little if any contamination in my tank.
If your V-4 developeds a little miss or hesitation this may be the ticket
