We had similar issues. We rebuilt the slave and the master, power bled the line numerous times with no success. We finally gave up and pulled the engine and power train. We suspected a bent fork or throwout bearing? After removing the clutch plate the shaft bearing fell out it numerous small pieces. Not too sure what caused the failure (probably damaged while reinstalling the engine in the past).
This is the first time we pulled and reinstalled the engine and trans axle as a unit. I would never do it any other way. It was a bit difficult to reinstall and line up the rear trans axle nipple into the mount. We finally used a floor jack through the access hole in the floor pan to lift it in place. Someone who has done this several times could probably give us all some good tips! Best of luck!
