Hi friends,

Recently looking for A-7 or A-8 NGK plugs online /E-Bay and found little.

link came up for Denso M22 ( or- 5003 ) sparkplug for DKW or Wartburg, fer other cars and Saab.

cross referencing showed a AB7 NGK listing, yet the earliest alpha-prefic code then numbers NGK used

became different than the later NGK BCPR7ES that a late 9000 uses. looking at plugs insulator position

being more submerged ( less contact with spark plug shell to dissipate heat ) it looked close to a A&

plug I did have, and conversely an A-8 ceramic nose insulator part was taller nearer the end of the

inner bore of the spark plug, letting ceramic convect heat away from tip center electrode area.

French vendor was one out of 8 other vendors with $2.75 per plug price, not $8.00 to $9.00 the other

7 vendors listed as price per plug.

Be wary until someone gets heat range issue verified on the M-22 to be same as NGK A-7 or NGK A-8 .

Most drivers no matter how experienced in strokers can say they have audibly noted detonation

driving the car. Physically pre ignition detonation will damage a piston crown or sieze a ring in

its gland before one can notice.

if someone has lead for NGK saab stroker plugs, a share on vendor would be welcome. Don
