I'm just a guy with too many Saabs. Got a 9000 Aero, a T5'd 900 vert, a 900 turbo, a 68 V4 and even a little 900 4 door NA. This is after downsizing my fleet :D.
Tom pointed me in the right direction and also supplied the windshield and gaskets for this 96. After installing it this weekend I have great respect for anyone who does old rope style windshields, it was really a pain in the ass to get the metal trim pieces, the rope and the window to all line up perfectly.
I did notice an issue with my shifting, it's very sloppy. Upon looking, there's excess play in the rubber disk "gasket" or maybe "bushing" that connects the lower part of the shift rod assembly with the upper. Have you replaced those, and if you have, what did you use? I haven't disassembled yet but it just looks like a puck of rubber. Was thinking of finding some sufficiently similar rubber and cutting to size. Couldn't find any mention of it in the parts diagrams.
