UPDATE
Thanks again for the input. I was able to remove the alternator and have it rebuilt at a local shop over the weekend. I just did a 12 mile drive through my town up and down hills and at different speeds and the warning light never came back on.
The other issue that developed at the same time was that the fuel gauge and the temperature gauge stopped working when the warning light first appeared. Neither of these gauges are working. I have checked the fuses in the long box on the firewall and they all have intact wires. Any ideas on this issue??
Last item - does anyone have a recommended fuel pressure regulator to use with an electric fuel pump and a Weber carb? I bought the Malvasia but it doesn’t like being set to hold the recommended 2psi for the Weber. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks
