While Skandix claims this kit is a fit for 1969 Saab 96's, after installing one I must disagree. I have a Jack Ashcraft reconditioned release arm and clutch slave and master cylinder rebuilds by White Post. After diligently bleeding the system and experimenting with different strength springs in the slave cylinder, I have to conclude that this diaphragm clutch requires greater movement than the stock hydraulics can provide. The only way I can fully disengage the clutch is to dial the release arm adjustment screw all the way in, eliminating any free play. This puts the release bearing in continuous contact with the pressure plate tines. I can get away with this for a while but I expect the release bearing will not last long. If anyone has had a different experience I would love to hear from them.
