You don't really say where the leak is showing up. Are you sure the problem is the cylinder head and not the intake manifold gasket? The leakage would be onto the flat area of the block underneath the manifold. The intake gasket is known to spring a leak on occasion, either to the top of the block or into the manifold and thus to the valves. It's a much easier fix than replacing the head.
