99 front sway bar

There has been some discussion on this board about the worth of a front sway bar on a 99. The SAS and Adco bars were compared, and the difference of the sizes were mentioned. It was stated that just the rear bar was effective, and the front was a waste of time and money. At the time, I had an SAS kit, but hadn't installed it yet. I added some comments on the topic based on a freinds statement of performance, as well as some wishfull thinking on a return on my investment once it was installed. I gave a bit of thought to all the comments made. I decided to install just the rear bar and see how it performed. I took the car on a 450 mile road trip through the mountains of Vermont. What a difference the rear bar made!!! I installed the front bar....HUGE DIFFERENCE !!!! I re-read the sway bar comments, and if I hadn't already owned the front bar, perhaps I would have just done the rear. At the time of the last discussion, I thought that Adco had the wrong size rear bar because it's smaller than the front....not a good combo on a front wheel drive...good for a rear wheel drive. I think that is the case, and with the Adco kit, the front bar is a waste of time. If you go to their website and read all of their sway bar information pages, it clearly states you have to compensate for front/rear drive with the proper bar sizes. But, they sell the incorrect kit with a larger front bar. I don't profess to be an expert on this subject, but I can assure anybody thinking of using the SAS kit, that the front bar makes a big difference.
