I prefer by far the 2 door, and the 79-80 99T sedans in particular.
The 3 door 99 both is and feels much more heavy with the bigger overhang in the back. Furthermore does the 3 door chassis flex more, due to the large unbraced rear opening. This in turn translates into less precise handling, compared to the 2 door. An easy to remove cross-brace behind the back seat would probably go a long way to eliminate this problem.
