(Prez.) Roger mentioned (when I was over at his place doing some Sonett II parts swaps), that there are more than a few of the older "double digit" (pre 900) owners/members that infrequetly show up for club outings. Is it possible that they feel somewhat "overshawdowed" at these events by the sheer numbers of the "latest from Trollhatten"?
Not wanting to sound the least bit exclusionary to you folks that own newer Swedish iron, my suggestion is: that maybe we could entice some of these "vintage folks" back into the fold if the club could initiate even just one event per year that would be "vintage/classic" only. Possible suggestions for an outing might be: "A day at the Vintage SC Races" (ie., Sears Point or Laguna Seca), or possibly the "Dream Machine Show" (just happened two weeks ago) at Half Moon Bay, or one of the 'Concours d'Elegance' shows. This would give us "vintage folks" a chance to show-off our "curiosities" and prowess at keeping these "old heaps" shiny and drivable. How about some feed-back on this?
