If you haven't already done so, get a new one from the dealer under warranty. There have been many threads on the 9-3SS BB discussing the ancillary problems that arise from a faulty battery. When I noted that the battery on my new 9-3 SC was made in USA, I asked the dealer why would GM spend the $$ to ship heavy US-made batteries to Sweden, only to see them come back. His response was that during dealer prep, they install new batteries in almost all their new cars just to avoid downstream problems.
