I bought a 2013 Lexus GS 350 AWD. My car was clean and I was the only owner but it had plenty of issues. I don't think they even tried the Heads up display which was basically unreadable, never mind the other issues I mentioned in my OP. I have been buying cars for 46 years and I may not be the best negotiator but I hold my own. I used two dealers, both had the car I wanted and both despise each other, which I used in my favor. I felt I got as good a deal as I could given the orphan status of my trade.
After considering an Audi A6 or 7, Infiniti and not a BMW 5 series I settled on the Lexus. Much different type of car for Lexus, not a living room on wheels. Actually R&T found it first in a a comparison to BMW 535, Audi A6 Mercedes E class and the Infiniti. So far I love the drive. I have no regrets about my Saab years but the company is dead and buried, time to move on, at least for me.
