More info on 2.3 N/A valves/ fuel supply system needed Posted by iveand [Email] (#3155) [Profile/Gallery] (more from iveand) on Mon, 2 Feb 2004 13:26:52 In Reply to: Trying to determine if IAC has failed., iveand [Profile/Gallery] , Mon, 2 Feb 2004 07:06:10 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
fernando was working with the EVAP/purge valve on his 2.5V6 the past few weeks. From what I understand, he was having idling problems, and tracked it down to this valve. Am i correct that it is the larger diameter hose on the left bottom of the TB, and that it leads to the left hand fender (behind the shock post)? I thought I saw Anders saying that the N/A has no such valve. What does this vacuum hose lead to, then, and is it something that I should be looking into concerning my continued starting/idling problems? Is this something related to fuel tank pressure (I again saw reference to it in previous posts, but am not sure how it works for the 2.3).
Anyway, a discussion of these valves or other contingent items related to the vacuum lines and fuel system SPECifically in the the NA 2.3 would be much appreciated.
thanks in trying to track down these problems. I am hoping that others with the n/a that are having similar starting problems but are beyond the "first stage" checks will find something here to get these things running better in adverse conditions.
