Kevin, As you know, the post I wrote out for you on Wednesday lays out the main stuff. Dash light problems due to the wiring harness are in several posts such as http://www.saabnet.com/tsn/bb/NG900/index.html?bID=95211
The only other likely thing is the instrument cluster itself. You might as well start cheap, so check out the dash wiring.
If you don't want to try DIY, talk to your mechanic about how long he thinks it will take. If he has an extra instrument cluster around or can get one cheap, it only takes a couple hours to install (maybe 3 hrs book rate). Tracing the wiring is going to take a couple hours.
You've now eliminated the ignition switch, which is the first thing my shop also replaced when I had this problem and before I had researched the issues on this board. Once you get the problem fixed or try more stuff, post back here.
