5th Bow microswitch Wire

I have a broken wire at the 5th bow, I am not sure if it is a microswitch or a pot. But there is not much wire (Green) coming out of it so I do not think I can make a good splice. How does the wire feed into the microswitch? Do you remove it and open the switch to make the connection or should the switch have a wire coming out that you splice? Is this a difficult part to replace? What should it cost parts/labor?
Thanks
