From what I've heard - changing out the clutch in the 900 is a bit easier than the 9000. In fact, I've spoken to a couple mechanics who've praised how "easy" it is to change the clutch out on a 900.
I did mine recently and it's not too big of a job - does require at least 2-3 days though, so you'll need another vehicle to get around in while you're at it. You'll also need an engine support beam (about $65 from harborfreight)
Basically the steps I took to replace the clutch was:
1) jack up front end, place on jack stands
2) remove wheels (make sure you loosen those axle nuts while it's still on the ground though - they're a bear to take off otherwise), exhaust manifold and subframe
3) pop out driver-side driveshaft
4) loosen the five bolts holding the tranny on and carefully slide it off onto a couple trolley jacks.
5) install new clutch, pressure plate, release bearing and reassemble
You'll also want to put in a new clutch cable while you're at it - takes a few hours depending on your mechanic skill.
