I'm already getting tired of posting my bad V6 experience, but I hope it helps someone! When my 2nd V6 t-belt failed (first a 94, then a 95; cam sprocket slipped on both) I tried to get something out of Saab. The 95 had the belt replaced under warranty at 98k by Fox Saab in Grand Rapids Michigan. 16000 miles later the cam sproket slipped. Fox diagnosed it (for $75). All I got out of the Saab regional servive manager and a call to Saab USA was a $2000 voucher towards a new Saab. Big deal. I wouldn't be driving a $4500 9-year old car if I could afford a brand new one (actually my daughter's car).
Also, I have seen a crank sprocket key failure on a very new (less than 20000 miles Saab V6. Bent 24 valves too.
Good luck!
