Remember to make sure you can put the rear facing seat handle DOWN when driving. If you are tall you may be tempted to leave it up. This is a NO NO= dangerous in an accedent!
We drilled the rivets out and removed the handle (we never used it anyway). It is surprising how much room they require. With the handle removed we were able to keep the BMW 318is.
