Thanks for the info. I'll recheck all of the connections below the throttle. There is one vacuum cap that I can see; I'll check for others, and whether the one I see is good. BTW, I have a non-turbo, so I'm not sure what the T5 stuff is, or whether the NA has an analogous system I should check.

BTW, you referenced :"Brake booster hose and its 'nut' ok?" Is this the hose from the brake master cylinder? And what/where is the 'nut' anyway? The brakes seem fine (actually, they seem a little too good with the amount of wear on the front pads!)

On a NA B234 motor, where would the throttle stop be? Re:"adjust the throttle stop so that the throttle is more closed". SEEMS closed, but I'll recheck.

RE: "Check that the two plenum o-rings are seated properly". They are currently on the plenum, and don't fit loose. I assume that is properly seated, but I'll certainly give them some petro jelly lube.
