I haven't had any problems with the testing in Washington - we do the OBD II testing as well...so I cna't comment on the "best" way to do it. Sorry!

I just posted the info so you had some idea of what was going on. Doesn't Oregon offer the "old" tailpipe emissions test as a backup to the OBD testing? I know that some states do because of the problems with some OBD II systems.

If I were you, I'd get in contact with someone higher up in the system and see what the options are - there have GOT to be other Saabs in Oregon - Portland especially - that would be having the same issues...
