I finally received my Jan Car & Driver and read with interest the test in which the 9.3SE finished last. I agree that the 9.3 needs to be updated in several areas and the choppy handling can be rediculous. But I also think that the old hatchback look creates a false image that this car is old our out of date. And in my opinion, style is very subjective. I happen to think the "look" of the 9.3 is classic and has survived the test of time. As for the interior, I think the 9.3 is the hottest of all of them (my friends always comment the same). Compare SAAB's instruments to those of the big Buick-like apeedo on the MB. So in sum, the 9.3 is older and showing some of its age but I think that assessment is overrated. One other point...the test comparisons always assume Price as Tested to be MSRP but we all know the "out the door" price for a SAAB is kmuch less than the others, especially the BMW. ANother words, there is real value in the SAAB and that was a real factor in my purchase. Joshua Harrison
