I have the Saab rack on my 99 9-3 and added the Thule fairing I bought at a bike shop. I must say the fit was a little bit forced but required no drilling at all. It dramatically cuts down on the wind noise. When I am not using mine for a period of time I take the whole thing off (fairing and rack in one unit) and store it in the basement. I believe there are only two Thule fairing models, one for cars, and one for vans, so don't get the one for vans unless you need wings ;)
