This is not a good beginning to my introduction to Saab.
I test drove a 9-3 SE convertible, and in the back of my
mind, it seemed that it did not have a center armrest. Since
I could not conceive of a car above $20,000 not having one, I
just let it go without much thought.

I ordered the car, and, theoretically, I pick it up tomorrow.
I called my salesman and asked about the armrest, and he
acknowledged that it was an "option". I told him that I
already ORDERED every option on the list. How much?... $85
for the armrest and $75 for one hour's labor. That's $160 -
for a center armrest!

I explained what I thought of a car company that charged for
a center armrest, but I did not cancel the order.

Does this make sense to anyone here? Am I alone on this? Are
there any other "option" surprises?
