The engineer at Hirsch explained to me that chipped cars usually end up running cleaner than stock ecu's due to the stock program running overly safe fuel mixtures and timing to help prevent knock. I would think that if you didn't tell a sniff tester that the ecu is modded, he probably wouldn't know the difference.
