Jason- gone through the exact samething you have been through i have a 2000 9-3 i have basically gave up on asking questions-which is hard because i have already bought upgrade Saab wheels (Gary Fisher) and am intersested in putting struts/springs/shocks and don't know what to use, Oh well! I bought the Saab smoked european conering indicators to replace the orange OEM signials and it looks awesome. If you talk to a guy at Abbott (european branch) they can send you the turn signal assembly that gives you the european clears (looks sweet...to check it out got to saab's site and look at some of the cars they are almost all european models)...about the tail lights if you take a look at the OEM tailights on your car i think you will change your mind they are pretty sweet.
I think clears look good on SOME cars but until a company can make tailights as good as the ones on the Toyota Altezza/Lexus IS300 i would stay away from them. I think the stock saab tailights are just fine.
