Indeed, you maxed out on a thorough flush procedure. One can never be too careful attempting to avoid the mixing of chemicals, one of which promises so much.
I think I'll skip it this time. Maybe next time.
I was checking around on the Dex-Cool. Not only are they justifiably proud of this product, they go places with a video and show you what to look for as tell-tale signs you need to take note of and give thourough instructions to tradesman online on changing out old-style coolant for theirs. GM went so far as to caution users never to accept so-called "Dex-cool compatible" products. They simply are not. They will work OK but you'll never ever realize the Dex-Cool dividend.
The slightest little bit of corrosion on your theromstat, or discoloration inside your see-through reservoir, if caught quickly, can save you a wad later down the road. It's iron oxidization and its a cooling system killer.
