The torque steer is unusual. I've learned to smoothly accelerate in 2ncd gear, and I rarely feel torque steer anymore. If I'm hauling butt in 2cnd, I will feel it, however. It's not bad, just something to be aware of. I have yet to bend a wheel, but the wheels are very soft. When I was rotating tires, one wheel fell over and now has a ton of little dents in the material. I keep the pressure high (36 psi or so) and check it often. I've had the car for 7,000 miles.

My problems are squeaky rear seats and a transmission that has bad third and fourth gears (third sticks, fourth is almost impossible to get into, and third and fourth will sometimes be blocked). There are fixes for the seats (I haven't had time to try them, but you can search for "seats" here), and the tranny will hopefully be fixed (there's a Technical Service Bulletin for it -- seems to be a relatively recent and not too ubiquitous problem).

If the tranny is fixed, I plan on buying the car at the end of my lease. It's very stable in rain (haven't yet tried it in snow), it's fast and functional. Oh yeah, the chin spoiler does bottom out on everything. You have to learn to go "across" any dips instead of hitting the dips straight on.
